OCALA, Fla. (WCJB) - Marion County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 17-year-old accused of opening fire at a bonfire party celebrating homecoming for a high school in Marion County.
Sheriff’s deputies charged Zachary Sarrach, 17, with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of a firearm by a minor, carrying a concealed firearm, public discharge of a firearm, and use of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
Investigators say Sarrach fired multiple shots at another teenager at a bonfire party celebrating Forest High School’s homecoming on Southeast 52 nd Court in Ocala on Sept. 28. Multiple people witnessed the shooting; however, they couldn’t identify Sarrach.
