The family of Melvin Cravitz have issued an emotional new statement after he was killed in a terror attack at a Synagogue in north Manchester earlier this month.

Melvin, 66, remembered by his loved ones as 'kind and caring', died in the incident at Heaton Park Hebrew Synagogue in Crumpsall on October 2. Adrian Daulby, 53, also died in the atrocity on the Jewish holy day of Yom Kippur.

An inquest opening heard how Cravitz, from Crumpsall, 'courageously' helped stop the attacker from entering the building and was attacked with a knife.

In a tribute, Mr Cravitz's family described him as a 'devoted' family man as they thanked the public for their support following his death.
