TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) -- A Tampa middle school teacher was arrested after he was accused of possessing child sexual abuse material.

Tyrone Lee Cliff, 38, was working as a teacher in Hillsborough County at the time of his arrest, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. He taught at Bayshore Christian School.

Law enforcement began investigating in August when Tampa police received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Detectives later determined Cliff was the subject of the tip, FDLE said.

The original address assigned to the device was Cliff's residence in Spokane, Washington. FDLE said Cliff recently moved to Ruskin. He also owned a martial arts studio in Tampa Bay beginning in 2015.
