AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - The Amarillo Symphony is bringing its music to young students across the Panhandle.
Its Symphony Kids education program has been around over 25 years.
It is geared toward giving students, especially those in rural areas, an opportunity to see a live orchestra performance.
Amarillo Symphony Executive Director Larry Lang says this program not only provides a musical experience, but also another outlet for creativity.
“We’re lucky and honored to be a part of that growth of a young person’s life. Exposing them to something that might stir something creative in them, and whether they go on to be a musician or be in an orchestra themselves, they can carry that artistic and creative spirit with them in whatever they do,” said Lang.
