The Barrington High School girls soccer team upset East Greenwich in a preliminary round game earlier this week and earned the right to square off against North Kingstown in the Division I quarterfinals.
Barrington will play at North Kingstown on Thursday night, Oct. 30 at 5:15 p.m.
The Eagles upset the Avengers in the preliminary round of the playoffs. The Eagles trailed 1-0, but Gracie Gaines scored for Barrington to tie it up. Ella Reagan assisted on the goal. The game remained tied through the end of regulation and eventually went to penalty kicks.
Barrington went 6-for-7 on penalty kicks. Marissa Lema, Mackenzie Lema, Molly Thurston, Maddie Kiely, McKenna Pires and Sophia Alves each scored goals for the Eagles. Meanwhile, East Greenwich missed one PK over the net and Barrington goa
