Responding to a trio of items sent its way by the council earlier in the month to expedite, the Warren Planning Board at its Monday, Oct. 27, meeting gave affirmative recommendations to amend existing zoning ordinances.

The revisions, which must still be finalized by the council, were for the following laws:

a) Chapter 3, Article IV – Kennel License, Sec. 4-1 – The Licensing of Kennels (Kennels/Dog Daycare). To allow kennel/dog daycare use in the Manufacturing District.

b) Chapter 32 – Zoning Ordinance, Article XXIII – Definitions, Sec 32-130 & Sec 32-21 – Criteria for specific

categories of special use permits, amendment to zoning ordinance will allow for the retail sale of cannabis products in the Business and Rural Business Zoning Districts.
