GRAND JUNCTION Colo. (KREX)- Habitat for Humanity of Mesa County is expanding its reach to include Delta County, marking the first time in years that local residents will have access to Habitat for Humanity services.
The expansion was recently approved by Habitat for Humanity International, following nearly a year of planning and preparation.
“We’re really excited to be able to announce that Habitat of Mesa County will now be servicing Delta County as well,” said Laurel Lutz, executive director of Habitat for Humanity of Mesa County.
Lutz said the organization is still determining which programs and services will best fit Delta County’s needs. The next steps include identifying funding sources and connecting with local partners.
