LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - The 13 food pantries that are part of the Association of Community Ministries say that they are desperate for more food and more money. For that reason, they are launching a campaign to ask neighbors to donate to their efforts.

A Facebook post on Tuesday showed mostly empty shelves at the Highlands Community Ministries pantry, but by Thursday, community donations had helped restock the facility.

Despite the recent influx of food donations, Troy Burden, executive director of the ministry, said they are concerned about sustaining adequate food supplies as demand continues to rise.
