SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — A Springfield man has been arrested following an alleged assault on Friday, August 8.

According to online court dockets filed on Thursday, Oct. 30, Raevon D'Martel Townsend, born in 2000, has been charged with two counts of first-degree assault - serious physical injury or special victim and first-degree burglary.

The probable cause statement says that officers with the Springfield Police Department (SPD) responded to a location following the incident on Aug. 8.

The SPD officer spoke to the victim, who stated Townsend knocked on the door, asking where one of his family members' belongings was located. He then allegedly struck the victim in the face multiple times, according to the statement.
