SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — For many people, a cup of coffee starts a conversation. But for the Down Syndrome Group of the Ozarks, they're using coffee to change lives.
"I like working for Upside Down Mercantile. It's brand new for me sometimes. I like it. I like it a lot," said Sarah Jeppson
Sarah Jeppson has been able to connect with customers and through her nationally recognized photography at Upside Down Mercantile. It's one of the many professional development programs through the Down Syndrome Group of the Ozarks, which provides a network of support for individuals with Down syndrome and their families in Southwest Missouri through various resources and advocacy efforts.
"It's giving them a chance is what kind of started all of this is, how do we give them a chance in every area of life,
