PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) -- The Peoria Public Works announced that part of Fulton Street will close for construction starting Thursday.
The road is closed between the parking lot entrance of City Hall and S.W. Jefferson Avenue, Peoria Public Works Spokesperson Nick McMillion said.
This construction is part of the Adams Street and Jefferson Avenue One-Way to Two-Way Conversion Project. The closure is expected to last three weeks. Drivers are encouraged to be cautious when driving in the area.
Both the Twin Towers Parking Deck and City Hall’s parking lot will be accessed from Southwest Monroe Street during the closure.
Sidewalks will also be closed to pedestrians for removal starting Thursday at the northeast corner of Hamilton Boulevard and North East Jefferson Avenue.
