VENICE, Fla. ( WWSB ) - Venice-based nonprofit organization Agape Flights is heading to Jamaica to help residents after Hurricane Melissa caused widespread damage to the Caribbean island.
Organizers told ABC7 that since airports have reopened, they want to get in and bring as much aid as possible.
As Jamaica works to deal with the aftermath of Hurricane Melissa, Agape Flights is doing everything it can to help those on the ground, some of whom lost everything.
Several ministries are preparing to set up mobile kitchens, like Mercy Chef’s, and others are ready to deliver first aid to the region.
Agape Flights told ABC7 they want to use every available avenue to deliver resources, flying into Kingston to help those impacted with a variety of supplies.
