The next time you think of tossing garbage on the roadside, think again — because the Bengaluru Solid Waste Management Limited ( BSWML ) is watching. In an unusual yet impactful awareness drive, the civic body has launched what it calls a “Garbage Dumping Festival,” where those caught littering find the same garbage dumped right back in front of their homes.
At 218 locations across the city, BSWML teams carried out this striking campaign to teach residents a hard-hitting lesson on civic responsibility . Households identified for roadside dumping were greeted in the morning with piles of garbage placed in front of their gates — a taste of their own medicine.
