BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- Officers with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation are set to partner with Kern County law enforcement for its annual safety initiative called "Operation Boo."
The operation involves checks on supervised individuals, specifically registered sex offenders, on Halloween to ensure specific restrictions are followed.
During the operation, law enforcement will enforce a curfew of 5 p.m. Oct. 31 to 5 a.m. Nov. 1, according to officials. Registered sex offenders are not allowed to decorate, put up outdoor lights or offer candy.
