BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- A pedestrian has died after they were stuck by a vehicle Thursday afternoon in southwest Bakersfield, according to police.
Emergency responders were called to the area of Stine Road and Parker Avenue for a report of a person struck by a vehicle at around 4:30 p.m. Traffic is being blocked off in the area for investigators. Avoid the area if possible.
No other details about the incident were released by police.
Thirty-seven people have been struck and killed by vehicles in roadways in Kern County so far in 2025, according to 17 News records.
