LONGVIEW, Texas (KETK)-- Longview hosted its annual Trick-or-Treat event on Thursday in downtown, offering a safe and fun holiday experience for the community.

Several shops in the area, like the Blush Salon, participated by handing out candy to children as they walked through.

"It feels really good. It's exciting because we love being downtown," Kayla McGauthey, a stylist at Blush Salon, said. "This is the first year for us to participate, so it's really cool. We didn't know how busy it would be, but it seems like a really good turnout."

Blush Salon not only gave out candy but also offered tinsel to visitors, adding a unique touch to the event.
