YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) -- Dozens of residents showed up Thursday night to talk about the future of one of the Valley's busiest roads, Belmont Avenue.

The City of Youngstown and Liberty Township hosted a public open house to lay out their findings from the Build a Better Belmont initiative. The project aims to make Belmont Avenue safer, more attractive to businesses and more connected to both communities.

City leaders gave updates from project consultants and shared ideas on how to improve traffic flow, business access and walkability along the corridor.
