THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WCTV) - The Thomasville Police Department announced they were recently awarded a grant to address traffic safety issues.
The Governor’s Office of Highway Safety (GOHS) gave TPD a $52,547.20 High Visibility Enforcement (HVE) grant to reduce car crashes and traffic deaths across Georgia.
The money will be used for traffic education, enforcement and child safety seat training.

TPD will also participate in GOHS’s year-round campaigns, such as Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over and Click It or Ticket, conducting mobilizations, high visibility patrols and multi-jurisdictional sobriety checkpoints.
