BATTLE GROUND — The playoff hopeful Battle Ground Tigers have proven themselves playoff worthy.
After last week’s monumental win at Skyview, Battle Ground took care of business Thursday in a 38-14 win over Union on its home turf at District Stadium to finish 2-1 in the 4A Greater St. Helens League football standings, ensuring the Tigers can finish no worse than tied for second place.
They’ve done their part, and now, they need one final piece to fall into place. A Camas win over Skyview on Friday would give Battle Ground an outright second-place finish and a Week 10 playoff berth. But a Skyview win would put all three teams in a tiebreaker game next week with two spots up for grabs.
