HONOLULU (Island News) -- E.A. Sween Company has pulled its pulled pork sandwich product from shelves due to a choking hazard from plastic that could be in the food item.
The Deli Express BBQ Pulled Pork sandwich was recalled on Oct. 25 because foreign particles (plastic) are potentially inside of the product. Retailers have been instructed to remove the sandwiches from store shelves and inventory immediately.
The recalled sandwiches could have been purchased in the Continental U.S., Hawaii and Guam between Jan. 16 and Oct. 23, 2025. Consumers who have purchased the product are advised not to eat it due to a possible choking hazard. The product can be returned to the store it was purchased at for a refund.
