NEW YORK (PIX11) -- Millions of New Yorkers are hoping they will still be able to eat after Saturday, when federal funding for SNAP is set to run out amid the month-long government shutdown.
A federal judge’s ruling could press Washington to take emergency measures to feed those in need. New York and New Jersey are among the 25 states, including Washington, D.C. that are suing the Trump Administration.

"No SNAP benefits for me means I will not eat, period, blank. I won’t eat breakfast, I won’t eat lunch, and I won’t eat dinner. I just won’t eat," said New York City resident Cindy Rivera.
"I don’t have a decent meal or resources to feed myself, I most likely will die
