SCOTTSDALE, AZ (AZFamily) — With Halloween falling on a Friday this year, Scottsdale Police and Fire said they are gearing up for a busy weekend around Old Town.
After a wave of violence at Halloween parties last weekend , both departments are on high alert and are upping patrols throughout the weekend.
Scottsdale Police Officer Aaron Bolin said he wants people to have fun but to also be smart with costumes.
“When you’re putting your costume on, don’t use real weapons as part of your costume; it would be so unfortunate to accidentally get stabbed or impaled or shot,” Officer Bolin said. “You also don’t want to cause any confusion if you encounter law enforcement for any reason that now you have a real weapon on you that now has to be part of whatever conversation or part of the call i
