SURRISE, AZ (AZFamily) — One person is dead, and several others are hurt after a serious crash Friday morning in Surprise.

First responders were called to the reported crash just before 11 a.m. at the intersection of Waddell Road and Sarival Avenue .

Police confirmed multiple people were taken to the hospital after the crash, and one person later died from their injuries. Authorities did not give information about how many other people were hurt or the severity of their injuries.

Arizona’s Family news chopper witnessed a smashed sedan on its side, with engine fluid leaking onto the sidewalk. A red Tesla had its front bumper ripped off.
