KINGSTON — The city’s committees and working group structures could be in for a shake up, with some committees being disbanded and the scope and procedures for others changed.
City council is to consider a report Tuesday night that looked at almost 20 city committees, subcommittees and working groups.
The changes being recommended come after more than 10 months of consultations by the clerk’s department with city staff, councillors, and committee and working group members past and present.
“The goal of these amendments is to improve the committee and working group experience for all participants and ensure these bodies are undertaking meaningful, results-focused work while respecting the time commitment of participants,” stated a report to council from city solicitor Jenna Morley.
