Two men are facing charges in connection with a shooting in Roxbury earlier this month that left an innocent bystander with “life-altering injuries,” according to Boston Police .
The shooting happened around 4:09 p.m. on Oct. 8 near 258 Dudley St., the address for Vasquez Pizza and Spanish Food in Roxbury. The restaurant’s front window was littered with nearly 20 bullet holes after the shooting, WCVB reported.
Aleyah Fernandez, 23, of Boston, a bystander, was hit by one of the shots, the station reported. She told the outlet she remembered lying on the floor and praying she wouldn’t be killed.
A prosecutor said Fernandez was partially paralyzed by a bullet that hit her spine, according to the station. The shooting appears to have been targeted, the prosecutor said, according to the
