A 38-year-old man from Maryland has been arrested and charged following a hit-and-run crash that left an e-bike rider dead in Middletown, Delaware .

According to Delaware State Police, on Thursday, October 30, 2025, just before 8 p.m., a man riding an E-bike was traveling in the northbound lane or right shoulder of Middletown Warwick Road, when at the same time a Chevrolet Equinox was traveling northbound on the same road heading right towards the e-bike.

For reasons still under investigation, police said the front of the Chevrolet struck the e-Bike, ejecting its rider onto the roadway. The Chevrolet then fled the scene.
