ATLANTA — The City of Atlanta will begin much-needed improvements along a two-mile stretch of Boulevard SE in Grant Park in November.
The project calls for repaving the roadway between Interstate 20 and McDonough Boulevard SE.
The plans also call for dedicated bicycle lanes on both sides of the road, providing a direct connection to the Beltline.
The Southside Trail 4-5 extension is currently under construction between Glenwood Avenue and Boulevard.
The Southside Trail 2-3 segment, also under construction, will continue from Boulevard to Interstate 75.
Those segments will complete the connection to the existing Westside and Eastside segments of the Beltline.
Those trails are expected to be completed in early 2026.
