A 39-year-old man has been sentenced to life in prison for the murder of a woman in North Berwick.

Mompati Dodo Isaacs was found guilty at the High Court in Edinburgh on Wednesday, 17, September 2025.

He was sentenced at the High Court in Edinburgh today, Friday, 31 October, to a minimum of 21 years in prison.

On Monday, 1 January, 2024, officers were called to a disturbance at a property on Craigleith Avenue in the town. Keotshepile Naso Isaacs, 33, known as ‘Naso’, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detective Chief Inspector Debbie Duncan said: “We hope this sentence brings some form of comfort to the family of Naso, whose loss continues to be deeply felt. Our thoughts remain with her loved ones.
