A convicted paedophile has been jailed after he made sexual advances to what he thought was a 14-year-old boy. James Brooking, 30, has been jailed for eight years after pleading guilty to attempted sexual communication with a child, causing a child to watch/look at an image of sexual activity, arrange and facilitate the commission of a child sex offence and four counts of failing to comply with sex offender register notification requirements.

Brooking, of Upwood Road, Ramsey, appeared at Cambridge Crown Court last Friday (October 24). The 30-year-old started speaking to what he thought was a 14-year-old boy on social media platform Fabguys on July 3. However, this was an undercover officer. Brooking asked the decoy for their phone number.
