MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - Madison police officers arrested a man Thursday accused of stealing a car and slashing other vehicles’ tires.
Madison Police Department said officers responded just after 5 p.m. to North Baldwin Street and Sherman Avenue for a suspicious person trying to open car doors.
Police found three vehicles with slashed tires, and a knife nearby.
MPD said it arrested a 22-year-old suspect after he allegedly broke into a vehicle, drove it away and then ditched it.
Officers booked Alexander Munson into the Dane County Jail. He faces charges of criminal damage to property, disorderly conduct and driving a vehicle without consent. He is also accused of a probation violation.
