CROSS PLAINS, Wis.(WKOW) — A Halloween display at the Rosemary Garfoot Public Library is attracting visitors with its intricate setup. This annual display requires a team effort and around 200 hours of work.
The tradition started around 30 years ago and has become a community staple.
"It was donated to us about eight years ago. There was a lady in town who used to have trick-or-treating through her house, and it was a fantastic thing... a lot of this used to be in her yard," said Dan Berry with the Cross Plains Lions Club. He said some people who grew up trick-or-treating at that lady’s house now bring their kids to the library to trick-or-treat and see the decorations live on.
