TOLEDO, Ohio — Toledo Helps Ukraine is preparing to ship its fifth and largest container of humanitarian aid to Ukraine on Tuesday.
The shipment will depart at 11 a.m. from Cardan Corporation in Temperance. It includes 24 pallets of supplies totaling 40,000 pounds and valued at more than $92,400.
“This is our largest shipment to date,” said Alona Matchenko, president of Toledo Helps Ukraine. “The Northwest Ohio community has been incredibly generous — donating supplies, packing items, providing storage and funding shipping costs, which range from $7,000 to $9,000.”
Since the war began in February 2022, the nonprofit has delivered more than $500,000 in humanitarian aid and helped relocate 67 people from Ukraine to Northwest Ohio.
