ANSONIA, Conn. (WTNH) — A 26-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday in connection with a fatal crash in September that killed a 27-year-old man on Pershing Drive.

27-year-old Adonis Lapuppet-Bligen died of blunt force trauma on Sept. 24 after his car struck a telephone pole around 7:44 a.m. He was the only occupant in the car, according to police.

Investigators learned that 26-year-old Isac Saravia of Ansonia was allegedly driving his own vehicle closely behind Lapuppet-Bligen moments before the crash that killed him. During the investigation, it was learned that both Saravia and Lapuppet-Bligen were driving 80 mph.

According to police, a toxicology report showed that Lapuppet-Bligen had a blood alcohol content (BAC) of 0.89 at the time of his death.
