COUNCIL BLUFFS, Neb. (WOWT) - Council Bluffs Police on Friday gave an update on an incident last week involving the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office.

According to CBPD, Council Bluffs officers were dispatched to a Casey’s location near 35th and Broadway on Oct. 24 to assist another law enforcement agency. When officers arrived at the scene, they found a man wearing a neon green inmate jumpsuit walking near the business.

After investigating the incident, CBPD discovered that Dodge County Sheriff’s Office employees had dropped off the man at the gas station, calling it a “courtesy ride” to Council Bluffs.

Once released, witnessed told CBPD, the man started “wandering around the property, yelling incoherently, and throwing small figurines at customers.” He also allegedly got into a parked veh
