OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - One person has died and another was sent to the hospital after a crash between a truck and a motorcycle in northwest Omaha Friday afternoon.

The crash happened near 96th and Maple just before 1:30 p.m. Friday.

OPD Lt. Danny Flynn told First Alert 6 two were sent to the hospital.

In an update, OPD confirmed with First Alert 6 that the driver of the motorcycle died of their injuries. The driver of the truck was privately transported to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Currently, officers are talking to witnesses to determine the cause of the crash.

Lt. Flynn said the road between 94th and 97th streets will likely be closed for the next hour.
