Wendell Farquhar Trucking has made a large donation to the St. Joseph’s Foundation of Elliot Lake.

At a brief ceremony at St. Joseph’s General Hospital in Elliot Lake on Friday, Oct. 24, a small group gathered for the presentation.

The funds for the donation came from the Third Annual Wendell Farquhar Trucking Memorial Golf Tournament at Stone Ridge Golf Course.

The donation to the St. Joseph’s Foundation was $25,000. It was presented to the foundation by Scott Holmes, general manager of Wendell Farquhar Trucking. He made the presentation to Deborah Dubois, chair of the St. Joseph’s Foundation.

The event had close to 100 golfers participated in the Third Annual Wendell Farquhar Trucking Memorial Golf Tournament on Sept. 3.
