PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Police are investigating after a man was killed in a shooting overnight in west Phoenix.

Phoenix Police responded to the reported shooting near 43rd Avenue and Buckeye Road just before midnight on Thursday.

When officers got to the scene, they found a man, later identified as 21-year-old Angel Rodriguez Tapia, with a gunshot injury. Tapia was pronounced dead at the scene.

This remains an active investigation. No suspect information has yet been provided.
