While celebrating the delivery of four helicopters to a decade-long customer, Airbus Helicopters Canada president Dwayne Charette said demand for the aircraft his team produces in Fort Erie is growing.

“We’ve seen an increase in demand, for sure,” Charette said in an interview, after unveiling the new H130 choppers built for Niagara Helicopters, which offers sightseeing tours of the Falls. “For sure, we’re busy.”

He said the company had its “best year ever” in 2024, when it manufactured 39 aircraft, including 20 for the commercial and civilian market and 19 H135 military training helicopters for Royal Canadian Air Force.

And demand for the helicopters the company manufactures is continuing, he said.
