A Port Moody man has charged with murdering a missing Surrey woman, Chantelle Moore, who disappeared in October 2024.

On Friday, officers with the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team arrested 31-year-old Trenton Henneberg, with the B.C. Prosecution Service approving one count of second-degree murder and one count of indignity to human remains.

Moore, 30, had last been seen in a hotel in Langley a year ago, with her family reporting her missing on Nov. 18 after not hearing from her for an extended period of time.

A little under a month later, IHIT took over the investigation based on information that suggested Moore’s disappearance to be suspicious.

Police believe Henneberg and Moore knew each other, and this was not a random incident.
