MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - A former Shelby County Correctional Officer was arrested on federal charges, U.S. Marshals announced Friday.

Tamillian Young, 24, was arrested and charged with a felony count of providing or possessing contraband in a penal facility.

Members of the Memphis Safe Task Force arrested Young at the Shelby County Division of Corrections.

Marshals say she had contraband items on her at the time of the arrest, including cigarettes, tobacco and marijuana.
