CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - Fareway Stores, Inc. has launched a month-long program to help individuals and families facing food insecurity.

The program will run at all 142 Fareway stores across seven states.

Customers can participate by purchasing pre-bagged SNAP-eligible food items, donate individual food items, or give a monetary donation. Fareway will use all contributions to buy food for local food banks and pantries.

Fareway says it will match all monetary contributions in value through the entire month of November.
