American Cinema Editors has spliced together the results of its 2025 Board of Directors election, and some history was made.

Maysie Hoy has been elected Vice President for a two-year term. Joining with current President Sabrina Plisco and Secretary Lillian Benson, it marks the first time in the honorary society’s 75-year history that three women will have executive board seats simultaneously.

Elsewhere, Treasurer Michael Ornstein was re-elected to serve an additional two-year term, and Kevin Tent has been appointed to a new Ex Officio position to provide the executiveboard with the expertise and experience of a prior officer to advise and support newly elected board officers, the group said.
