COLUMBIA, S.C. — Voters in Columbia will soon decide who will fill one of the city’s two at-large council seats, a position that represents residents across the entire city.

It’s a four-way race featuring one incumbent and three challengers, each pitching a vision for Columbia’s future as early voting continues ahead of the November 4 general election.

Incumbent Aditi Bussells says her top priorities include supporting first responders, providing good-paying jobs, and making city government more transparent.

“I don't want you to have to know the right person in order for you to get things done here, whether you were born or raised here, or you came here with an idea or a dream, you should be able to bring it to life,” Bussells said.
