WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, WV (WVNS) - Locals of White Sulphur Springs braved the October chill on Thursday afternoon of October 30th to see the latest addition coming to the town.
It will be a brand-new activity center, marking a new chapter for families across the Greenbrier Valley.
Organizers said the roots of this project go back to when the community was trying to rebuild after the devastating 2016 floods.
"I think this project as a whole is going to have a significant impact on health, wellness, sports, recreation, education, and arts. We're really just getting started," Frank Alderman said, a local of White Sulphur Springs.
The more than 30,000 square foot center will feature something for anyone. It will have an indoor basketball court, soccer field, and pickleball courts.
