The 'despicable' and 'calculated' cowboy builder who conned an elderly women has been jailed.
Patrick Coyle stole money from victims across Greater Manchester, Lancashire and North Wales by failing to complete work he had been commissioned for.
In total, the 57-year-old conned his six victims from Oldham , Bispham, Lytham, Blackpool and North Wales - out of £25,000.
When one of his victims was quoted £9,000 by Coyle for repairs to a wall and they asked, 'what are the bricks made of, pure gold?'
In statements read out at Preston Crown Court, the victims described how they felt betrayed by Coyle and were left feeling anxious and distrustful.
