ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A woman has been arrested and charged in connection with a 2021 death in Troup County, according to deputies.

Teresa Williams is accused of murder. She was arrested on Oct. 14 and remains in the Troup County Jail, the Troup County Sheriff’s Office said.

On April 18, 2021, 52-year-old Alan Huguley Sr. was found dead in a car on the side of Briley Road in unincorporated LaGrange. Deputies said it appeared someone shot through the car several times, hitting the man.

The sheriff’s office won’t release any more details about the case, as the investigation is ongoing.

The arrest is part of the sheriff’s office’s effort to review and try to solve cold cases.
