ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - On Friday, Nakeda Martina grabbed mashed potatoes, taco fixings and canned vegetables. She also found two sweatshirts and toiletries for her two kids. In all, she walked away with five shopping bags full of groceries and did not spend a dime.
“It’s very challenging when you’re a single parent,” said Martina. “And how the economy is going up and down, and with the decisions they’re making with families not receiving benefits… this definitely is like a blessing and it’s very helpful."
