E-Verify issues sorted out

A month into the federal government shutdown, the city of Glendale is only minimally affected.

As city leaders said Oct. 3 when the impasse was mere days old, city programs or projects affected by grant funding will not be affected by the shutdown unless it lasts until December.

To date the lone hiccup for the city was when E-Verify was temporarily suspended on Oct. 1, which meant Glendale was unable to create new cases in the system, stated Marie Bonnell, Glendale’s human resources administrator, in an email.
