NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) -- U.S. Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.), who is running for governor, is responding to information released by authorities Friday alleging she exhibited "irate" behavior and made derogatory comments toward airport security personnel before an early morning flight on Thursday.
"Apparently, simply arriving at an airport now makes headlines if you’re leading the race for Governor," said Cameron Morabito, the director of operations for Mace's congressional office and campaign said in a statement.
A report obtained through a Freedom of Information Act request states that two officers from the Charleston Aviation Authority PD were assigned to escort Mace from the outdoor ticketing area to her flight shortly before 7 a.m.
