PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – A Lincoln City man was captured by authorities after a three-hour standoff in the ocean for a series of restraining order violations, authorities announced.

The night of October 28, the Lincoln City Police Department started an investigation into alleged restraining order violations involving 44-year-old Jaret Reynolds.

According to probable cause documents, Reynolds is accused of calling and texting his ex-wife, her family and her friend despite an active restraining order preventing him from contacting her.

Officers with the Lincoln City Police Department tried to arrest Reynolds at his home. However, officials said he resisted arrest and police left the area due to safety concerns, court documents claim.
